Epic Northern Territory Road Trip: Darwin to Kakadu

Darwin to Kakadu 7-day Itinerary:

Day 1 – Start your seven-day itinerary in the vibrant city of Darwin! From Darwin, continue to Wangi Falls Camping Area, Litchfield National Park, 131 km via Rakula. Explore the stunning waterfalls, including Wangi Falls, and the cascading rock pools of Tjaetaba Falls, or follow the scenic walking trail through towering termite mounds and dry tropical bushland to Sandy Creek Falls. Stay for two nights.

Day  3 –  Continue the journey to Kakadu National Park, Maguk Campground, 282 km. Be prepared for the walking trail to the breathtaking  Barramundi Gorge Waterfall. Allow for a 40-minute walk to the falls, and why not pack lunch to enjoy by the rock pool? Stay one night.

  • Obey signs and be croc-wise in Northern Australia. Waterways can contain Estuarine Crocodiles.
  • Travel with appropriate food and water supply, with extra supplies for unforeseen circumstances.

Day 7 – Return Darwin via Arnhem Highway 285 km.
